Would you like to display your artwork on your own web page?
If you are reading this, there is a good chance that you are either a
professional, amateur, student or hobby artist. Have you recently tried
out an idea or finished an artwork that makes you happy?
Please share it with us! It could be a pencil sketch, a drawing of flowers, maybe an ocean painting, a sculpture - in any medium - as long as it can be photographed.
Don't be shy! Others will be interested and supportive and you, also, will have the chance to make constructive comments about their work. In fact, if you wish, you could invite comments and help.
This participation is a good way to publicise your work free of charge and to connect with other artists and possibly buyers, if you want to sell your paintings - and, whether they consider themselves to be a professional artist or not, most artists do!
Please note that submissions will only be accepted if they are at least 400 words long.
Tell us about yourself and how you came to make the artwork, what your
inspiration was, if it was an experiment and even if you want to ask
others' opinion about the work. You may upload as many as four images
per submission but there is no limit at present to the number of
submissions that you make. If you make quite a few I shall merge them
into one long page - your own mini-website!
Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of this page to see what other artists have contributed.
If you live in a country other than Australia and if your subject matter
is other than tropical Australia, please upload your work at this page,
built
especially for you!
Have you recently finished a painting, sketch or sculpture that makes you happy?
If so, please share with us? It doesn't have to be a
masterpiece but it should be generally pleasing to you - or have
elements of a problem solved!
Just upload an image of your
artwork (no larger than 600 x 800 pixels) with a short description (300 - 400+
words) of why you created it. Please include medium, size and title, if
there is one.
A little challenge - because this site is about
tropical Australian art, it would be great if your artwork has a feel of the tropics
(remembering that tropical Australia is anywhere, within Australia,
north of the Tropic of Capricorn).
However, artists living and working in other parts of Australia are very welcome to share work that have universal themes or which reflect some aspect of life in this country.
If so, please share with us? It doesn't have to be a masterpiece but it should be generally pleasing to you - or have elements of a problem solved!
