The Festival is about Readers Writing and Writers Reading in an inspirational environment. If you are a writer, reader, poet, or belong to a book club, there will be something in this Festival just for you.

The festival runs from Friday 12th September to Sunday 14th September 2014 with an interesting and eclectic programme.

This festival is the fourth biennial and has grown from very humble roots in 2008 to include an amazing amount of local, regional, state, interstate and internationally acclaimed talent.

Some of the highlights include Tropical Writers Literary Dinner with iconic journalist and television presenter Geraldine Doogue as guest speaker - bound to be an entertaining evening.

Perhaps you are an avid reader - if so - The Biggest Book Club on Sunday morning is a must. Join Angela Murphy, Dr Veny Armanno, Matthew Kelly, Fiona Sewell and Professor Stephen Torre,as they discuss Burial Rites, The Rosie Project and Heart of Darkness. This event is sure to tickle your reading buds!

How about a Masterclass with Dr Veny Armanno? "Writing Fiction Across the Genres" Four hours of in-depth learning. If you are a beginning writer this will inspire you to greatness, a seasoned writer will reconnect with what it takes to tell a truly great story.

What if you are a hopeless romantic? This festival has that covered too. Author Helene Young presents a workshop - "The Essence of Story Telling"
