Beat Urfer was born in Switzerland in 1947. After formal education and studies in chemistry, he researched vitreous enamel for the application on equipment for the pharmaceutical industry. He was interested and engaged in the Arts from a young age and so it was no surprise that he also foresaw exciting possibilities for this medium in the Arts.
1980 Beat settled in Australia, turning to the Arts full time and his first exhibition in Sydney was in February
