ENERGY 2009 EXHIBITION
OFFICIAL LAUNCH Friday 4th September 6pm
Exhibition dates 3 Sept – 16 Sept
Well reputed as one of the region’s most popular art exhibitions, the highly anticipated ‘Energy Exhibition’ once again returns to Tanks Arts Centre.
‘Energy’ is the region’s showcase of some of the best young emerging artistic talent, and in the past has acted as a stepping stone for student artists to become solo exhibitors.
With a strong reputation for presenting viewers with diverse and exciting works that reflect professionalism and maturity well beyond the age of the Year 11 and 12 students who exhibit, this unique event is often the first glimpse into the work of the future’s most acclaimed artistic talents.
The exhibition, which displays visual art works from schools throughout the Far North Queensland region, is part of the prestigious Creative Generations Awards for Excellence in Visual Art and Design program.
Works exhibited as part of ‘Energy’ include drawing, painting, photography, innovative installation and multi-media works.
This exhibition and awards program run in conjunction with ‘Energy’ is supported each year by Ergon Energy and the Queensland Government.
