Landscape oil paintings of tropical islands and sugar cane fields by Port Douglas artist, Tania Heben for sale !

Original landscape oil paintings of sugar cane fields, plantation houses, bougainvillia framing ocean views and wild mountains by Port Douglas artist/icon, Tania Heben, have been in demand for over two decades.

As well as having a small stock of paintings for sale, Tania is one of the few artists I know who is happy to accept commissions, which is a huge advantage for you as a collector.

I see Tania frequently so can bring you up-to-the-minute reports on new works - even email you photos of work in progress, in case you wish to have the advantage of purchasing before the paint is dry!

Since the days when Tania exhibited at our gallery, Port Douglas Gallery of Fine Art, prices for her original landscape oil paintings have steadily climbed, so that, if you purchased them five or ten years ago, you will now have very attractive investments hanging on your wall!

No doubt you would not wish to part with these tropical pictures, but it is nice to know that, should your circumstances change, they have more than held their value, in some cases tripling their original purchase price.

PAINTINGS FOR SALE

On tiny Low Isles, caretaker Steve is ready for a day of supervising tourists as they snorkel above the coral reef.
"Loved to Death" is one of Tania's most recent paintings. It depicts a scene on nearby Low Isles, the figure in the foreground being the island's highly respected and loved caretaker, Steve Sharpe.
oil on canvas - 900mm x 950mm
$12,000

With a foreground of ploughed paddock in front, this sugar cane-cutters cottage is a quaint reminder of by-gone days. Far North Queensland's development in the early 20th century was largely centred around the sugar cane industry. Tania is one of the few artists to record remnants of that era's sugar cane history - the plantation houses in which those pioneers lived.
"Cane Cottage"
oil on canvas - 450mm x 600mm
$5,000 SOLD

Children picking mangoes as they ripen in the Wet season is a common sight. As the heat builds up in the steamy tropical climate and the rains begin, mangoes ripen and fall to the ground, bruised. So here Tania depicts a common sight - children intent on harvesting and selling as much luscious fruit as they can before that happens!
"Mangoes 4 Sale"
oil on canvas - 750mm x 1000mm
$15,000.

Four Mile Beach stretches into the distance, blue mountains as a backdrop to sparkling turquoise ocean. The golden sands of Four Mile Beach, playground of the rich and famous - as well as us locals, are lapped by the sparkling turquoise Pacific Ocean and set against a backdrop of distant blue, wild mountains.
"Four Mile Beach"
SOLD

There's a wedding at St Marys by the Sea, Port Douglas This small church, re-located from "the hill" and lovingly restored, is the scene of many happy weddings. This, quite large, painting depicts such an occasion.
"St Marys"
oil on canvas - 1500mm x 1050mm
$10,000

The view from th ePort Douglas hill, across he inlet to the blue mountain range beyond.

This oil painting of the view across the inlet in Port Douglas says a lot about the beauty of the area - and the skill of the artist.
