International art workshops and artists retreats offer a compelling reason for travel and creative learning.

International art workshops and artists retreats engage travellers in experiencing the distinct culture of various countries and regions in a meaningful way.

So your travels have a sense of purpose - perhaps to explore thecountryside and paint 'en plein air' as did famous French artists of the Impressionist era...or you may just wish to have an intensive basic workshop where you learn to draw.

Your interest may be in learning how to make a collage, following in the footsteps of superb watercolour artists, or in just soaking up atmosphere and being guided by an experienced artist in different ways of responding to it.

Art workshops may be in visual arts, sculpture, music, photography, dance, writing - in fact, any creative pursuit that enriches the soul!

Perhaps you would like to know much about the emotive subject of colour (or 'color' in American English). Some artists spend a lifetime studying this vast area of perception - wouldn't it be wonderful to tap into their knowledge?

What? You thought that there was nothing complicated about red, yellow and blue?

Well, it doesn't have to be difficult, but have you not wondered why a particular painting or piece of music impacts on your emotions with its nuances of tones, accents and tensions while another leaves you feeling 'flat' and disinterested?

Perhaps there are reasons and you could discover the secrets that lie behind the masterpieces.

Artists and teachers, world-wide, are very welcome to upload details of one of your international art workshops or artists retreats via the form below. Don't forget to include an image!

Australian art workshops details should be entered here.

International artists and arts groups, do you have a great workshop to publicise?
