INKMASTERS CAIRNS INC IS RUNNING A SERIES OF WORKSHOPS IN THE LEAD UP TO INKFEST.

Places are limited to allow a high level of individual instruction and there are workshops to accommodate all ages and all levels of experience.

The workshops are run out of Djumbunji Press, 55 Greenslopes Street, Edge Hill.

INTRODUCTION TO INTAGLIO with Theo Tremblay

Master Printer Theo Tremblay completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Boston (US) before studying drawing and printmaking at Oxford (UK). In 1977, he migrated to Australia and established his own press Editions Tremblay, now operating out of Canopy Art Centre. A pioneer of collaborative printmaking and publishing, and mentoring many Aboriginal and Torres Strait artists, Theo specialises in etching, lithography, relief printing, monoprint and screen-printing.

Susan Plos is a Cairns-based artist whose focus is the unique environment of North Queensland. Since graduating with a Diploma in Visual Art in 2004, she has been exploring the delicate intricacies, complex patterns and undeniable beauty of her local environment.

WEEKEND WORKSHOP
Saturday & Sunday 9am - 4pm

Born in Sydney, Judith Corrighan moved to Julatten in 1995 as a retired architect and emerging fabric artist. In 2003, Judith studied a Diploma of Visual Arts at Tropical North Queensland TAFE, where she discovered her love of woodcut reductive block printing. Judith has been a member of the Kuranda Arts Cooperative since 2006 and exhibits regularly with the group.
