Now that you have decided on T N Q (or, as some say, Far N Q - far from care or just far from anywhere?) as your holiday destination, the next question to decide is where to stay. I guess that you have an overall desire for either peace and quiet, adventure, unusual experiences - or just plain lazing about - or a combination of these. You have, after all, earned a little R and R! You may be seeking special interest accommodation such as bird watching, wilderness experiences, farm stays, historical pubs or luxury resorts, B and Bs, family, nudist or gay resorts, camping or luxury private homes. Perhaps bliss for you would be to stroll a few steps to a fantastic little coffee shop on the latest fashion shopping lane? Lunch and dine at a different restaurant every day - or sip a sparkling wine as the sun sinks behind dark blue mountains and the town lights up for a little partying? Decisions, decisions...
Of course, you can "google" resorts in the area, ask your travel agent or rely on friends' experiences of pleasant holidays. All of those avenues of research are valid. But I would like to introduce a slightly different and positive dimension into your enquiry. Accordingly, I am inviting holiday accommodation property managers to tell us what is special about their services and approach. Most have tour booking facilities but how do they go the extra mile to make sure that you are happy and comfortable? Do they have a particular "angle" that would appeal to you? Perhaps they have an activities programme for children? bird watching, tropical fruit picking, special walks, an artist-in-residence programme, restaurants on site, courtesy transport, spa or other pampering, a bar, evening entertainment ... or absolute quiet and solitude?
