Cairns Regional Gallery - 'Hidden Treasures' - the 2009 Postcard Show

As many will know, the annual Postcard Show is a much anticipated event where avid art collectors not only have the opportunity to purchase original artworks by some of Australia?s leading artists, but also help raise funds to build the Gallery Collection.
Bidders must register at the Gallery for a fee of $7.

Postcard Show 2009 will feature 100 artworks in a diptych format. On our opening night all artworks will be presented closed with our Gallery wax seal. At the ring of the bell at 7:30pm the first bidder on each card has the opportunity to crack the seal and reveal the treasure inside. Bidding will continue for two weeks until the closing night, where the final bidding frenzy will conclude and the highest bidders will claim their prize.

The exhibition opens on 23rd October and will close on 6th November after the final bids and closing auction, which commence from 6pm.
