Cairns Indigenious Art Fair & Festival Cairns

by Cell art space
(109 Lake St Cairns, Ergon Energy Building)

Cell art space welcomes the collaboration of Festival Cairns and Cairns Indigenous Art Fair (CIAF) supported by Ergon Energy in exhibiting promotional material for these two concurrent events. In the space are 2D boards suspended from the ceiling depicting imagery which celebrates Cairns and its festivities.

Cairns Indigenous Art Fair is a new unique event of collaborative activities scattered around Cairns, promoting diverse Indigenous cultures of Queensland. Attend music concerts, exhibitions, dance performances, symposiums and talk events from one of the many venues including; the Tanks Art Centre, Djumbunji Press, Cairns Regional Gallery, Canopy Arts, and Centre of Contemporary Arts (CoCa) from the 21st-23rd of August 2009. Visit www.ciaf.com.au for further information.

Festival Cairns, now in its 47th year celebrates all that is Cairns; culture, our unique tropical lifestyle, our talents and our multi-cultural diversity. The theme this year is “Telling our Stories”, and with many free events, and a variety of concerts, exhibitions, family activities, theatre performances, film screenings and good food, there is no reason not to celebrate all that is wonderful about where we live. Events run from the 21st August – 6th September 2009. Visit http://www.festivalcairns.com.au for further details.

Posters promoting the Cairns Indigenous Art Fair and Festival Cairns form the August/September exhibition at Cell art space showing until 4th September 2009.

Cell is viewable 24 hours 7 days a week for free. Visit www.cellartspace.com to contact us.

Ergon Energy is a principal partner of Festival Cairns.
