THE CLINK THEATER, PORT DOUGLAS PRESENTS - AND THE BIG MEN FLY - 9 shows - JULY 13 to JULY 29.

This year’s first DTAG solo production will be presented in the format of a LIVE RADIO SHOW. Never before seen on the stage of the Clink Theatre, nine brave young actors will present this famous play, with live sound effects performed live on stage, and characters presented to you by radio announcers, reading a script for the live audience – YOU.

Does this sound confusing? Well imagine what the actors are going through!

A ‘play within a play’, with plenty of laughs and attention to detail. Once again the enigmatic Jack Heywood will direct for DTAG a unique and invigorating adaptation of a well known play.

Alan Hopgood’s play, ‘And The Big Men Fly’ was first presented by the Melbourne Theatre Company, fifty years ago.

This show follows the highs and lows of professional athletes and managers, as they all battle to juggle their private lives with their very public performances. Love, loss, wins and tragedies follow this tight-knit crew as they strive for Sporting Excellence. Another fine event for the members of this community by D.T.A.G.
